TVDE certificate: requirements and IMT application
If you want permission to drive in TVDE, identify your role first. The personal driver certificate is CMTVDE; licensing the operator company is a separate process.
Check your route before applying
IMT guidance for CMTVDE applicants includes a category B licence held for more than three years, group 2 endorsement, successful initial training and suitability requirements. Check the status of your licence before paying for training.
A platform account, completed app lessons or a rented car does not replace these conditions. Holders of a valid taxi driver certificate should check the specific route published by IMT rather than assuming everyone must repeat the same training.
Keep documents and forms separate
Organise identification, licence details, the training certificate and the suitability information required in your case. Follow current IMT instructions for documents or access codes. Do not send personal documents to practice-question websites.
Modelo 30 belongs to operator licensing; it is not a shortcut to a driver certificate. The official forms page distinguishes the applications. Use the current CMTVDE service and ask IMT about any uncertainty.
Using IMT Online
The published issuance guidance directs applicants to IMT Online, Transportes and Certificado. Confirm that you are on the official portal before signing in. Read the operation help and review your information before submitting.
Keep the receipt and follow messages about the application. Issuance depends on the required checks and payment. A submitted application does not prove a certificate has been issued; verify the result and document validity separately.
Issuance, renewal and starting work
A first application and a renewal follow different routes. If you already hold CMTVDE, check its validity and the continuing-training requirements rather than automatically starting a new initial application.
A certificate also does not replace the conditions for working with a licensed operator and platform. Confirm the contract, registration and vehicle status with the responsible organisations. Check additional regional rules for the autonomous regions.
