TVDE fire extinguishers: equipment and regional rules
When researching extintor TVDE, identify the territory and vehicle type first. A regional or particular-fleet rule is not automatically a requirement for every car.
What the Azores source says
Article 6 of Regional Legislative Decree 10/2022/A includes an express extinguisher provision for TVDE vehicles in the Autonomous Region of the Azores. It specifies classes A, B and C equipment with capacity of at least 2 kg.
That is the scope of the cited source. For current application in the Azores, check amendments and regional instructions too. Do not transfer this requirement to mainland Portugal or Madeira without checking the relevant regime.
Legal rules and operating conditions differ
Separate legislation from requirements imposed by an operator, contract, insurer or platform. A commercial equipment list may combine several conditions without explaining their origins.
Ask for the rule reference and confirm its application to your vehicle and territory. This guide does not claim that a uniform national requirement mandates the same extinguisher capacity in all TVDE cars.
Prepare a vehicle checklist
List documents, identification, insurance, inspections and equipment separately from your exam study. Confirm current requirements with the operator and competent authority before service.
For installed equipment, check condition, maintenance and manufacturer instructions with the responsible person. Damaged or inaccessible equipment is not suitable merely because it appears on a checklist.
Emergencies and online-learning limits
The training programme includes emergencies and first aid. Learn procedures through the training provider and practise language for recognising and describing situations.
